Introduction to Power Market and Regulatory Framework in South Asian Region

Course Objective: This course is intended to provide the students necessary skills and knowledge to understand the power market and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on scaling up RE integration in the South Asian Region. The course will elaborate on the regulatory bodies in the power sector, harmonization policies, electricity market operation and trading, ancillary services and capacity markets, market design considerations for RE integration, cross-border training and interconnection, power market planning and governance, and ends with case studies and best practices of power market and regulatory frameworks in the South Asian Region.
